Another year, another "Yost."
After the Kansas City Royals' first World Series appearance since 1985, the club has decided to add a one-year contract extension to manager Ned Yost.
"One extra year, I'm happy with that," Yost said.
Yost made his first playoff appearance this past season. He has claimed he wanted 2-3 more seasons as manager before he would consider a retirement from the game. Yost, 60, is currently the longest tenure coach in Kansas City Royals history. Most has a 373-402 record as Royals manager.
