Royals' Japan connection helps land deal with Magniflex

The Kansas City Royals signed their first Japanese originated partnership agreement with international mattress manufacturer Magniflex, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Magniflex will receive television-visible signage behind home plate.

Major League Baseball Japan helped secure the partnership, thanks to Japanese baseball fan interest in Royals outfielder Nori Aoki, who is the spokesman for the Magniflex Magni Sports mattress line.

Japanese television will broadcast more than 60 Royals games this season.
