Project description: The Missouri Department of Transportation roadway improvement of Route MM in Republic is designed to enhance regional connectivity and reduce congestion at a critical intersection with U.S. Route 60. The project is constructing 2 miles of new roadway while widening the existing Route MM, and it includes new bridge construction to eliminate an at-grade rail crossing, plus added turn lanes and signal improvements along U.S. 60 and soil improvements and wick drains for stability. ESS is also relocating a 161kV electrical transmission line to accommodate bridge clearances. Engineering is provided by MoDOT with Toth and Associates Inc. handling the electrical transmission portion of the project.
