Rogersville manufacturer to expand, add jobs

Rogersville-based manufacturing company UnderCover Inc. announced Sept 9. it is planning a capital investment of roughly $5.3 million as it expands and adds new jobs.

UnderCover, located at 59 Absolute Drive, will construct a 70,000-square-foot expansion and add 30 jobs, increasing the company's employee count by more than 30 percent, according to a news release from the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

"Partnerships between business and communities contribute to the success of our region and have a direct impact in attracting new and expanding existing businesses," said Jeff Seifried, manager of regional development for Springfield Regional Economic Partnership, a program of the Springfield chamber, in the release. SREP advises a 10-county area in bringing new jobs and investment.

UnderCover, which manufactures truck bed covers, will use the expanded space to adhere Class A automotive finishes to the covers.

“The addition of this new facility and jobs are certainly welcome news. We look forward to the benefits of the new plant and new families moving to our community," Rogersville Mayor Jack Cole said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
