President Donald Trump on Thursday awarded Roger Penske the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor.
Penske, the 82-year-old owner of Team Penske, is the second person in auto racing to receive the award, following Richard Petty in 1992.
Penske was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame earlier this year, following his induction into the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2015.
