Resources of Missouri Inc. has presented its first Small Business Awards to Missouri business owners.
The awards will be presented annually; this year, nine companies received plaques and $2,000 each.
The winning companies were Master Reels Inc., Quest Fitness and Employee Screening, all of Springfield; and Arki-Tec Landscaping of Canton; Cherry Street Artisan of Columbia; Copyright Printing of Smithville; Image Services International of Jefferson City; Koa Press of Boonville; and Larry's Honda of Jefferson City.
RMI is a private, nonprofit organization that provides small-business loans and is a statewide certified development company. Rural Missouri Inc. filed for a fictitious name with the state and is now doing business as Resources of Missouri Inc.
Its awards are designed to recognize the achievements of small-business owners and to showcase the value of small business to Missouri's economy. Information about RMI's programs and the awards is available online at www.rmiinc.org.
