Ridewell was accepted to the Missouri Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program after passing an extensive workplace safety investigation. The program helps Missouri employers comply with federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
Fewer injuries and illnesses on the job could lead to lower workers’ compensation insurance costs and higher productivity for Ridewell.
To receive approval for the program, Ridewell provided its written safety and health programs and its injury and illness trends. Industrial hygienists visited the Springfield site and evaluated the company’s process for monitoring fumes, dust, vapors and noise, as well as its hazard prevention methods and safety training.
A certificate of recognition will be presented to the company at a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 11 at 3715 E. FR 94. Representatives of OSHA and the Missouri Division of Labor Standards will be present.
Ridewell Corp. engineers and manufactures suspensions and controls for trucks, trailers, buses, motor coaches and RVs.
