Ribbon cutting celebrates new Southwest Community Bank branch

Posted online
Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors joined Southwest Community Bank officials July 11 for a ribbon cutting to mark the completion of the bank’s new facility at 3333 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. 100.

Bailey Co. was the general contractor for the bank, housed in a former location of The Signature Bank. Buxton Kubik Dodd Inc. was the architect for the project, and engineers were LaRose & Schober Engineering and Wells & Scaletty LLC.

Southwest Community Bank opened its first location in Ozark in 1996. The Springfield site is the bank’s second location. The Springfield branch opened Sept. 1, and has 10 employees, according to Vice President Larry Jones.

“We are a community bank,” said Mark Uhler, Chairman, President and CEO of Southwest Community Bank’s Springfield location, in a news release.

“We are not multistate or multinational, and it is not our goal to become gargantuan in size. We are locally owned and operated and decisions are made locally,” Uhler added.[[In-content Ad]]
