Rhode Island governor proposes free tuition plan

Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo is proposing a plan to offer free tuition at state colleges.

The plan calls on two tuition-free years at the state's public colleges: University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College and the Community College of Rhode Island.

Raimondo's plan comes two weeks after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo proposed free public eduation tuition for families with incomes of up to $125,000.
