Rhode Island could be next state to offer free tuition

Following New York's approval of free college tuition for middle-class families, Rhode Island could be next.

Lawmakers in the state currently are looking into a proposal by Gov. Gina Raimondo.

Under the proposed legislation, high school graduates who live in the state would be eligible for a scholarship if they enroll at University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College or the Community College of Rhode Island.
