Retail sales were up in November, according to data released this week by the Commerce Department.
The department reported that retail sales rose 0.7% in November on a month-over-month basis. That follows a 0.5% increase in October.
Sales at auto dealers led the latest increase, with a 2.6% monthly jump in November.
