Retail first: Tory Burch to open in Missouri

New York fashion retailer Tory Burch plans to open its first Missouri store in St. Louis this fall at the Plaza Frontenac.

The high-end shopping center also is adding retailers Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams home furnishings and Forever Flawless skin care, according to St. Louis Magazine.

Designer and CEO Tory Burch launched her company 10 years ago in Manhattan and has branded it with color, print and eclectic details in shoes, handbags, accessories and beauty products. Her poppy-bohemian style has become popular among celebrities.

St. Louis Magazine said the Tory Burch store is opening next to Louis Vuitton, which is undergoing a remodel and expansion.
