Marriott Residence Inn
The 113,400-square-foot, 138-suite Marriott Residence Inn, located at 1303 E. Kingsley, is a $5.4 million John Q. Hammons development. Killian Construction Co. built the new hotel, which was designed by Steve A. Minton, a staff architect for Hammons. Pellham Phillips Hagerman Architects-Engineers also provided architectural services for the project. On the north side of the structure, different colored facades, accents, balconies and roof peaks, visible from James River Freeway, display the hotel's unique design, which resembles a Bavarian village.
