Report: WNBA player contracted COVID-19 in Springfield

WNBA player Sophie Cunningham reportedly contracted COVID-19 while living in Springfield this summer.

The Springfield News-Leader cited a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article, in which Cunningham speculated she caught the virus while working out in the Queen City.

Cunningham is a former basketball star at University of Missouri and is in her second season with the WNBA.
