The White House Coronavirus Task Force last month recommended that Missouri adopt a statewide mask mandate.
That's according to the Springfield News-Leader, which obtained a copy of the task force's recommendations via a public records request. Gov. Mike Parson disregarded the masking recommendation, and it was not mentioned in public appearances, according to the News-Leader report.
Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House’s coronavirus response coordinator, visited Parson in Jefferson City during August.

This is not exactly ground breaking reporting. This was reported in the news weeks ago. Gov Parson indicated to Dr. Birx at that time that the hot areas in the state had enacted face mask ordinances. Again, fear mongering.
