Walgreens Boots Alliance and Humana Inc. are reportedly in preliminary financial discussions, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
The sources said the companies are discussing the potential of taking equity stakes in each other.
The deal would follow CVS Health's $69 billion purchase of Aetna.
