United States Postal Service Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is proposing a plan to put all first-class mail onto a single delivery track, sources familiar with the matter told The Washington Post.
The move would mean slower and more costly delivery for both consumers and commercial mailers, according to the report.
The USPS lost $9.2 billion in 2020 due to pandemic-related declines in mail volume. The organization also has nearly $190 billion in liabilities.
