President Donald Trump on Thursday acknowledged he's attempting to slow funding to the U.S. Postal Service to make it more difficult for the agency to process mail-in ballots, The Associated Press reports.
“If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money,” Trump said. “That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting; they just can’t have it.”
Trump previously floated the idea of postponing the presidential election, saying mail-in voting could result in increased voter fraud.
