President Donald Trump has awarded preemptive pardons to Rudy Giuliani and other allies accused of wrongdoing in the 2020 presidential election, a source familiar with the matter told The New York Times.
The source said attorney John Eastman and conservative pundit Sidney Powell also have been issued preemptive pardons.
None of those named are currently facing federal charges. The pardons would not shield them from state-level prosecutions.
