Report: The re-explosion of U.S. house prices is over

U.S. house prices, which shot up in 2012 and 2013, are steadying in 2014, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
 
Home prices are expected to continue to rise, especially for new construction, but at a slower rate than in recent years, analysts predict. The report states the slower rate of increase should keep the housing market from becoming overvalued and keep homes affordable.
 
Steadying prices is an indication that the housing market is stabilizing, as is the drop in homes entering foreclosure, which is at its lowest rate since 2006, according to the report.
