Report: Tax plan to harm US home sales in 2018

The National Association of Home Builders reports U.S. home sales will falter in 2018 over the GOP's tax overhaul.

According to the NAHB, single-family homes sales are predicted to rise 5 percent next year. That's about half the growth estimated for 2017 and would be the slowest pace since 2014.

Reuters cited the tax plan's clause that slashes the amount of mortgage interest homebuyers can deduct to $750,000 from $1 million.
