Springfield Public Schools settled a discrimination lawsuit with a former principal to the tune of $175,000.
That's according to a report from the Springfield News-Leader, which obtained documents detailing the end of the lawsuit through a Sunshine Law request.
Garry Moore, who was 61 when he filed the suit in 2019, alleged he was targeted for removal at Hillcrest High School because of his age.
District spokesperson Stephen Hall told the News-Leader that "the resolution avoids the cost of continued litigation with no admission of liability."
