Sears Holdings Corp. is reportedly preparing for a bankruptcy filing.
Sources familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal the company hired M-III Partners LLC to craft a bankruptcy petition that could be issued as soon as this week.
The boutique advisory firm M-III has spent the past few weeks on the potential filing, the sources said.
