Report: Radioactive waste found at elementary school in STL area

A report from Boston Chemical Data Corp. found radioactive waste at an elementary school in the St. Louis suburb of Florissant.

Boston Chemical officials say radioactive waste up to 22 times the expected level was found at Jana Elementary School in the Hazelwood School District.

The school is located in the flood plain of Coldwater Creek, which was contaminated by waste from nuclear bombs manufactured during World War II, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
