Report: Pesticide used by Monsanto unlikely to cause cancer

A new safety review by United Nations health, agriculture and food experts found the pesticide glyphosate, sold by Monsanto in its Roundup weed killer product, is unlikely to cause cancer in people.

The product is widely used in agriculture and by gardeners.

Two other pesticides reviewed, diazinon and malathion, also were found unlikely to be carcinogenic.
