Report: O’Reilly stock a smart buy

Posted online
Springfield-based O’Reilly Automotive Inc. is one of five “Stocks Everyone Says to Buy Now,” according to The Motley Fool’s latest investor report.

The investment adviser profiled five of a handful of stocks that investors anonymously rated to outperform the market.

Despite operating in an auto parts industry that has been unkind to rivals Pep Boys and AutoZone, O’Reilly’s profit margins tend to exceed those of its competitors, and its focus on professional mechanics gives O’Reilly lower risk, The Motley Fool reports.

The other stocks on the list were Dorman Products (Nasdaq: DORM), Industrias Bachoco (NYSE: IBA), Patriot Capital Funding (Nasdaq: PCAP) and SL Industries (NYSE: SLI).

O’Reilly shares (Nasdaq: ORLY) closed Monday at $30.79, compared to a 52-week range of $30.50 to $38.84.[[In-content Ad]]
