New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on federal criminal charges, people familiar with the matter told The New York Times.
The indictment was sealed as of early Thursday morning. Details are expected to be released later in the day.
Adams reportedly becomes the first mayor in modern New York City history to be charged while serving in office.
