McDonald's is temporarily closing U.S. offices this week as it prepares for layoffs, according to media reports.
"During the week of April 3, we will communicate key decisions related to roles and staffing levels across the organization," officials with the company said in an internal email viewed by members of the media.
The number of people impacted by layoffs is unclear.
