The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority is preparing to make bus route cuts, according to a report by KCUR.
If the authority does not receive more funding in the Kansas City budget, the number of routes in the city would be reduced to 13 from 29, according to the report.
The transportation agency is reportedly set to get $71 million from the city's upcoming budget, below the $117 million it needs.
