Intel has ousted CEO Pat Gelsinger, according to a report by CNBC.
Sources familiar with the matter told CNBC that Gelsinger exited after a contentious board meeting over his perceived failure to lead the company to compete with Nvidia.
The company announced the move on Monday, calling Gelsinger's exit a retirement.
