Harley-Davidson is being accused of slashing jobs and repurchasing shares after receiving a windfall from federal tax reform changes.
After its taxes were lowered, the company announced it would close a plant and lay off 800 people there.
"The decision to consolidate our Kansas City operations into our York plant [in Pennsylvania] was a tough one and was based on our need to address the excess capacity we have in the U.S., which is more than what we need to support current and future U.S. demand," a spokesperson for Harley-Davidson emailed.
