Hallmark Cards Inc. has lost a “swath” of Walmart stores to competitor American Greetings, a source familiar with the matter told the Kansas City Business Journal.
Hallmark would retain a presence in certain stores where American Greetings is unable to fill all inventory needs, the source said.
American Greetings formerly started supplementing store shelves on a temporary basis as Hallmark struggled to keep pace with inventory needs, according to the report.
