Report: Facebook helped create 4.5M jobs last year

A Facebook-sponsored study found that the social network created 4.5 million jobs around the world and added $227 billion to the global economy in 2014.

Conducted by Deloitte, the study indicates beyond Facebook's direct 8,000 employees, businesses that feed off of Facebook have benefited, such as social media marketers, developers and indirect jobs like people who make Internet equipment, according to CNNMoney.

According to the report, most of the jobs were added in the U.S. - 1.1 million and a $100 billion boost to the economy.
