Facebook Inc. reportedly has asked large U.S. banks to share financial information about their customers, including card transactions and checking-account balances.
That's according to a report from The Wall Street Journal, which cited people familiar with the matter.
The company has been in talks with JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, Citigroup and U.S. Bancorp, according to the report.
Facebook intends to use the information to offer new services to users, according to the sources.
