Business advocates are appealing to Congress to lay out guidelines defining a safe workplace amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
“What the business community would like is for a law that says just bringing somebody back at a time when there is no cure is not businesses’ fault and businesses could not be sued for bringing their employees back,” said Joshua Gotbaum, guest scholar of economic studies at The Brookings Institution.
