Cleveland, Ohio, is likely to be awarded the next WNBA franchise, sources familiar with the matter told the Sports Business Journal.
The sources said Cleveland’s expansion chances are as high as 90%.
According to the sources, the bid for the WNBA's 16th franchise is a league record of roughly $250 million.
