The Chicago Bears have been valued at $8.9 billion in a recently conducted minority stake sale, people familiar with the matter told CNBC.
The sources said the 2.35% stake was sold by the estate of Andrew McKenna to existing team owners.
The Bears were valued at $6.4 billion last year, according to CNBC.
