Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corp. may file for bankruptcy as soon as this week, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
The sources said the company is negotiating a $900 million debtor-in-possession loan to support its operations amid bankruptcy proceedings.
The company reportedly has more than $9 billion in debt.
