U.S. Attorney General William Barr will examine the origins of the Russia probe, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.
John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, reportedly was picked to conduct the examination into whether intelligence collection involving the Trump campaign was "lawful and appropriate," the person said.
A month ago, Barr said he believed "spying did occur" on President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign.
