Amazon.com Inc. is hiring a nearly 20-year Microsoft veteran, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
The sources said Panos Panay would run Amazon's division that oversees the voice-activated Alexa assistant and Echo smart speakers.
Panay, Microsoft's product chief, announced his exit from the company on Monday.
