Amazon.com Inc. is nearing a deal to acquire MGM Holdings, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
The nearly $9 billion deal could be announced as early as this week.
The deal would be Amazon's second-largest acquisition, behind its $13.7 billion purchase of Whole Foods in 2017.
