Amazon reportedly is moving forward with third-party contracts for drone manufacturing, meaning layoffs among its staff.
Deals with Austria’s FACC Aerospace and Spain’s Aernnova Aerospace are being finalized for the drone delivery manufacturing project, a source familiar with the matter told the Financial Times.
Amazon is laying off dozens of research and development and manufacturing employees as part of the move, according to the report.
