Activist investor Nelson Peltz has sold his entire stake in Disney after losing a proxy battle in April, a source familiar with the matter told CNBC.
The stock was sold for around $1 billion, according to the source.
Peltz's Trian Partners lost a proxy battle that sought to elect himself and former Disney finance chief Jay Rasulo to the company's board.
