The Trump administration is planning to cut more than 80,000 jobs from the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to an internal memo obtained by The Associated Press.
The goal is to reportedly revert VA staffing levels to just under 400,000, an amount last seen in 2019.
The VA already has cut a few thousand employees and hundreds of contracts.
