A new report from Fidelity Investments indicates 401(k) balances dropped in the first quarter.
The average 401(k) balance decreased by 3% to $127,100 during the three-month period, according to Fidelity.
However, the average 401(k) savings rate rose to a record 14.3% in the first quarter, according to the report.
