Fox Business reports the Trump administration is in the early stages of launching a public offering for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Officials with the administration described the possible deal a mix between a traditional initial public offering and a secondary offering of stock. They said such a public offering could exceed $100 billion.
The mortgage agencies have been under government-controlled “conservatorship" since the 2008 recession.
