The Associated Press published a report on fraud surrounding COVID-19 funds from the federal government.
The analysis found that fraudsters potentially stole more than $280 billion. Another $123 billion was misspent or wasted.
Combined, that amounts to 10% of the $4.2 trillion the federal government has disbursed to date.
