Reliable Imports & RV adds Airstream line

Reliable Imports & RV is the newest dealer for Airstream, a Jackson Center, Ohio-based recreational vehicle construction company.

Airstream has a more than 70-year-history and has dealer affiliates in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. The company's decision to sell in the market was due to Springfield's centralized location and a growing customer demand in the Midwest, according to a news release.

“We believe there’s a pent-up demand for Airstream in this region, and we are proud to be the newest member of Airstream’s dealer network,” Craig Reiserer, Reliable Imports & RV managing partner, said in the release. “This is an extremely high use area for RVs and Airstream has been under-represented here."

Reliable Imports & RV sells new and used recreational vehicles as well as parts and accessories. It was the No. 2 company in the 25 to 100 employees category at Springfield Business Journal's 2010 Choice Employers event.

"We see great synergies here and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” Airstream CEO Bob Wheeler said in the release.

Airstream is owned by Thor Industries Inc. (NYSE: THO), also of Jackson Center, Ohio.

Thor Industries shares were trading at $31.25 as of 10:20 a.m., compared to a 52-week range of $20.74 to $39.12.[[In-content Ad]]
