Regulatory fairness board to hear small-business comments

Posted online
Individuals from small businesses are invited to speak at a hearing of Missouri’s Small Business Regulatory Fairness Board on Feb. 13 in St. Louis.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear from small-business workers who have comments or concerns about dealing with state agencies. A representative from at least one state agency – possibly the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration – will be at the hearing, though who will attend has not yet been determined, according to Scott George, the board’s chair.

The board has held two previous hearings, including one in Springfield in October. Representatives from the Missouri Department of Transportation and the insurance department attended.

Those wishing to speak at the hearing can register online, at www.sbrfb.ded.mo.gov, by Feb. 1. Registration is not required, however; walk-ins will be given a chance to speak but will have less time, Scott said.

The hearing will be held 1–4 p.m. at the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association, 1 Metropolitan Square, Ste. 1300.

Small businesses also may submit comments for a future hearing in their area by contacting the board at SBRFB@ded.mo.gov or by calling (866) 719-1401.[[In-content Ad]]
