The purpose of the meeting is to hear from small-business workers who have comments or concerns about dealing with state agencies. A representative from at least one state agency – possibly the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration – will be at the hearing, though who will attend has not yet been determined, according to Scott George, the board’s chairman and owner of Mid-America Dental and Hearing in Mount Vernon.
The board has held two previous hearings, including one in Springfield in October. Representatives from the Missouri Department of Transportation and the insurance department attended.
Registration to testify is not required.
The hearing will be held 1–4 p.m. at the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association, 1 Metropolitan Square, Ste. 1300.
Small businesses also may submit
comments for a future hearing in their area by contacting the board at SBRFB@ded.mo.gov or by calling (866) 719-1401.
